The Rock Bottom Foundation, a 501c(3), non-profit organization, is the charitable arm of Rock Bottom Restaurants, Inc., parent company of Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery, Old Chicago Restaurants, ChopHouse & Brewery, SingSing, Walnut Brewery and Boulder Beer. The Foundation is:
- Dedicated to combating hunger in the communities in which we live and operate restaurants.
- Committed to providing support through our restaurants to organizations and programs that address the social issue of hunger.
- Actively giving back to the communities in which we are so fortunate to do business.

History
In 2000, The Rock Bottom Foundation was founded to:
- Provide a way to channel the Corporation’s abundant giving.
- Encourage and facilitate community service programs.
- Assist employees who experience hardships.
Old Chicago Foundation, ChopHouse Foundation and Rock Bottom Foundation are all the same entity, with a common mission of addressing hunger and supporting teammates in crisis.
The Foundation embodies the spirit of making a difference in the lives of others. It is an integral part of our culture, setting us apart as unique in our industry.
Mission
The Rock Bottom Foundation is committed to positively impact hunger in our communities, help our teammates in crisis, and inspire a culture of giving and volunteerism.
Goal
To achieve an annual level of charitable activity greater than $5 million in order to positively impact every community in which we do business.
Vision
Create a spirit of volunteerism that inspires, enables and appreciates the personal passions of our stakeholders, in areas of broad-based social concern.
Hunger
Success is having a daily impact on hunger by:

Angie Leach, Community Relations
Since she began with the Foundation in 2002, Angie has overseen our community relations, program, development, administration of internal agency grants, and planning and management of community events sponsored by Rock Bottom Foundation in communities in which Rock Bottom Restaurants, Inc exists. Angie makes it her mission to support community-based organizations by volunteering for various non-profits, including as past Vice Board Chair for the KUVO Jazz 89.3 and current Board Member for Denver Inner City Parish.

Kathryn Schutz - National Programs and Events Manager
Kathryn Schutz joined the Rock Bottom Foundation in June of 2009. In this capacity, Kathryn supports our restaurants through the planning, fundraising, and implementation of the Foundation’s Miracle and Gathering Events. Kathryn came to Rock Bottom Foundation from The Arrangers, a Denver based Destination Management Company, specializing in special events, transportation, tours, team building and incentive travel. During the bulk of her tenure at The Arrangers, Kathryn worked as Operations Manager and served as the main event planner of the Foundation’s Miracle on 19th Street.
